To Whom It May Concern:

My story is probably a bit different from what you're used to. I'm a makeup artist.

I got booked for a shoot with this guy who calls himself "Big Rod." He says he's looking for "Swimsuit beauties" for a pin-up calendar and music videos.

BTW, his business phone is 301-839-9859, but as of today you get a recording saying he's not returning calls.

I don't know what kind of business he's running, but what he doesn't seem to know about modeling would fill some huge books.

Basics like, magazines and ad people aren't interested in pimply, short, cheap-looking girls.

Like, people who look great in person don't always come out that way in photos.

Like, you turn product labels away from the camera when you shoot comps.

Like, there is a very, very famous agency named Elite already and I bet he's not telling them he's also using their name.

That photographers and makeup artists get paid the day of the shoot unless it's a magazine job or something.

He has made all sorts of promises and I have heard every excuse except "my dog ate your check."

My plans include small claims court, the local media, and some word of mouth.

Anyone who'd like to reach me can email me. I'd be very interested to hear from anyone who's had anything to do with "Big Rod."

T.O.
