To Whom It May Concern:
I am a concerned mom whose son wants to attend a modeling
thing at the Radisson in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
I was wondering if it was a legitimate agency because
I cannot find it on the internet. The company's name
is National Discoveries.
Thank you for your time.
You said: "I was wondering if it was a legitimate
agency." They are probably not an agency. If they
are not an agency, can they be legitimate? The online
Florida talent agency license database had no listing
for National Discoveries.
Do you have any more information about them? A website
address? No BBB record was found.
Most if not all modeling companies which are "national" are
scams. So when you see the word "national" in
the business name, you need to think twice.
Modeling happens successfully 99% of the time locally.
You don't need any "national" company. Find
a local agency with a valid talent agency license.
Local agencies seek local talent. Local agencies represent
local talent. Local clients seek local agencies. That
is how this industry works.
All this national stuff is by and large a waste of time
and money. Good local agencies can move models into new
markets, national or international.
Most all the national companies are incompetent and/or
National Discoveries, if it is not an agency, sounds
like a model search. Send more info if you have it. Is
there any cost involved?
