Modeltrack USA
To Whom It May Concern:
I was hoping that you could help me. I need any information
that you may have on Modeltrack USA.
Today my daughter and I attended a showcase event at
the Omni Hotel in Jacksonville, FL.
I am going to try to be as brief as I can...
They said they are selecting 300 people out of 750 to
attend a workshop. They are charging a $595 registration
fee. This includes a two-day workshop at this hotel on
Feb. 15 & 16, 2003.
Well, that is $178,500. Wow! Someone is getting rich.
I called their 1-800-253-9026 number and asked for a
website address and Ryan Thomas, Customer Service, said
he thought it was ModeltrackUSA.com.
I cannot find it.
When I asked one of the speakers named Debbie Lee for
the website, she said it was in the pamphlet that she
gave us.
I cannot find any information on these people and I
was hoping that you could tell me if you have had any
complaints.
After reading the Florida Talent Agency Laws, my daughter
will not be attending their workshop.
Thank you for your time and any information you may
have on these people.
Sincerely,
L.B.
L.,
At the time of writing, Model Track USA is not in the
BBB database. The reason why cannot find the so-called
modeltrackusa.com website is because the domain modeltrackusa.com
has not even been registered.
Who are these people? Why are they "selecting" 300
potential models for a seminar? Why would anyone want
to pay $595 for a seminar about modeling? What could
they possibly have to say that is worth $595?
For those kind of prices, you would expect the speakers
would be world famous. Who are the speakers?
What do they offer they you cannot get in a book, online,
or free from a reputable modeling agency which actually
gets models work?
You should call them again and demand to know why they
are not listed at the BBB and why they don't have a website.
Without more information it sounds like a very expensive,
watered-down, unaccountable, get-rich-quick modeling
convention or a superfast modeling
school.
