Fwd:

Hi all, I wanted to share a "watch out" to those out there looking for casting Web sites to subscribe. I posted a casting notice (see my separate message for the full notice) for a short film I'm casting this month. I posted on Casting Connection, Now Casting, SF Casting and Craig's List.

As the submissions came in, I found several coming in from sites similar to SF Casting, where you are redirected to a page on a Web site with the actor's pictures and info.

It seemed weird to me, so I dug a bit and found my casting notice had been reposted on their site, and was limited to just paying members. They took a listing from Craig's List (free to all) and are charging people for this service.

The two sites that have done this are Prime Time Casting and Global Casting Networks. I'm not sure I can classify this as a scam, but boy it sure seems wrong to me.
