Scams Delivered By Other Means than Telemarketing
The method by which you are initially contacted or lured into a fraudulent transaction can vary as much as the weather, between the telephone, the internet, the mails, television, radio, personal contact, by referral, flyers, papers and magazines. While I have tried to group the method into its most commonly used medium, there can certainly be some exceptions and overlapping.
This section is sort of a catchall for contacts, either made or followed up, outside of the telephone or in-person and include pyramids, chain letters, dieting programs, modeling agencies, infomercials, internet auctions, social engineering and personal ads.
